Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 2, 2026
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who might have access to it.
Our Approach to Privacy
We don’t sell, rent, or voluntarily share your personal information with third parties. We’ve specifically chosen privacy-focused service providers and hosting in Germany because we believe in stronger data protection standards.
What Information We Collect
Our website has two separate parts: our main WordPress site and our forum powered by XenForo. These don’t share data with each other.
On Our Main Website: We don’t require you to create an account, so we don’t collect personal information unless you contact us through our contact form. When you use the contact form, we ask for your first name, last name, email address, and your message. You’re welcome to use a pseudonym or alias if you prefer. Before submitting, you’ll need to check a box confirming you’ve read this privacy policy (GDPR requirement).
On Our Forum: If you choose to register for an account, you can provide information like your name, email address, and social media links. This is all optional except for what’s required to create an account. Your password is encrypted and cannot be viewed or recovered by our team.
Analytics and Tracking
On our main WordPress site, we use Independent Analytics to understand basic traffic patterns. This tells us things like how many people visit each day, which pages are popular, what browsers people use, and which countries visitors come from. We can also see which search engine brought you to us, but we cannot see what you searched for, and we cannot identify individual visitors.
We do not use any analytics or tracking on our forum.
How We Use Your Information
Contact form submissions and direct emails are sent to an email address that only our site administrators can access. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We use Proton Mail for our email specifically because of their strong privacy protections.
Who Might Have Access to Data
We’ve chosen our service providers carefully with privacy in mind:
Hetzner hosts our websites on servers in Germany. Our WordPress site and forum are on separate servers. We chose German hosting because we trust their privacy standards.
Wasabi Technologies stores our automated backups in their Frankfurt, Germany region.
Proton handles our email communications and is known for privacy-focused services.
These companies may have technical access to data stored on their systems as part of providing their services, but we do not voluntarily share your information with them or anyone else.
Data Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Forum passwords are encrypted and cannot be accessed by our team. Our backups are automated and stored securely.
Your Rights
You have the right to know what information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete your information. If you’ve submitted information through our contact form or registered on our forum and would like it removed, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
